Hey Everyone, I just thought I'd start a new conversation to remind you all that this site is community run. We take user feedback pretty seriously around here because I want this site to be as much yours as it is mine. We've been growing quite a lot over the past year. 2011 saw a lot of change.

We'd love your input about change for 2012. What would you like to see more of? What would you like to see less of? How should we grow? Share your thoughts.

To get you started, maybe tell me about the site's design. I like to keep the site design minimal and clutter free yet very usable. I don't like how most forums look like a chart. Thats not user friendly. Do you think I can do a better job hiding junk in the interface design? (maybe theres clutter you want me to hide, or rearrange) ... or am I being too minimal? (maybe theres some extra stuff you'd like to see, like emoticons or something)

Share your thoughts. The site is forever evolving and changing as we grow and we'd like it to be in line with what you want the community to become.

I personally think it would be cool if we were able to customize the colour scheme for the page. I mean like each individual person be able to change their own colours around to what they wanted. Other than that though, I'm happy with everything.

@Rajio Ya, except we could each have our own. Mine could be a red background, and yours could be a blue background for example. If I'm the only one who cares about it, don't even worry about changing it. I just think it would be kinda cool to have at one point.

well the problem with that (beyond adding that functionality) would be that i would have to make each theme. i'm looking in to the option though. it might be nice at the very least to let users toggle between a bright and dark theme or something.

I like the idea of colour schemes if it's not too hard to implement. Maybe some profile-spiffying options are in order, if that's any easier.

I can't think of anything else I'd add on here atm.

With respect to site design: I'd like to say, that for the past few days I've been accessing it from my bold 9900 as I'm currently travelling around costa rica (in fact I'm drinking an imperial beer now, near the base of arenal volcano!) and I've got to say, it works amazingly well!

So I have no suggested changes, but if any are made, please make sure the don't mess with mobile compatability, because its perfect right now!

what i would like is that if you could click on "most recent" on the thread it would go there, instead of having to enter the thread and then go to the last page.

it already does that though; when you enter a thread it jumps to the oldest thing posted since you last read it. automatic like.

Site is great! I like simple. Maybe there's a way of integrating Xbox/PS3/Steam profiles more? Like gamercards on profiles? All I can think of...

Oh, a minor quirk: I use Twitter to sign in, and it keeps asking me to re-authorize DoG every time I come here, shouldn't it remember?

yeah i'd love that @Mecandes. I can't seem to find a mechanism to let me do that though. :/ ... Its beyond my paltry PHP experience. I've been looking for a way to spruce up profiles with gamer profile data.

and hmmm. ill look in to the twitter thing. thanks for pointing that out. i dont know if it should remember or not. may be a twitter security thing.

This works for Xbox, if you can plug in their gamertag programmatically?

Doesn't have to be using the word "Like" but on another community we have you can rank the post Positive or Negative and can even filter out posts that get too much negative hits.

yeah we had a karma type of system in place for a while. it wasn't horrible but it was a lot of interface clutter without really 'doing' much for the site.

maybe i'll re-add it for a trial period.

- I agree on the like and dislike options and a # totaling either positive or negative thumbs up/down
- More gamercard PSN/Xbox/Steam integration would be awesome
- Option to view specific page # of a specific thread on the homepage - I've been asking for this for over a year now lol. It's no biggy tho e.g.:

- Mobile site improvements? It's pretty darn good now tho. I'm using WP7
