  • YES, I can't wait until it comes out! gonna get my flying skills ready.
  • I think this is going to mark my return to FPS gaming after over a year long hiatus.

I'm coming out of retirement bitches. Thats right. Put your goggles on.
  • Oooooooooooooooo wanty...
  • Why yes I did cry tears of happy to see the minimal amount of content.
  • Seen it, and getting it. Liked the 2 previous games. Particularly the single player.

    Does BF3 have single player?
If so, are they putting much time in to it?
  • So...beautiful...
  • oooooh. I like that they date the next preview too.
  • Very, very nice looking...
  • must play...bf3!
  • Can't wait to try it.
  • A bit pissed off im away at school when this comes out :P  Might be waiting till summer... or christmas, we'll see

I'm in the same boat but I'm sure I can find a little time to game :D
  • Woah, So who's getting it for what?

I'm most likely getting it for 360...
  • Watched the two trailers here and I'm impressed. I think this may be a shooter I'm gonna look into!
  • I will be getting it for 360. My computer is so ancient it suffers greatly trying to run a game like Star Wars Racing from 10+ years ago.

As far as PC gamers are concerned; that is an invalid excuse.

Is "Sorry, I don't have money to buy a PC much less upgrade it all the time." a valid excuse?

Seriously, I am as poor as they get. I usually only buy games 2 years after they are released and below $10 used. I am as bargain bin as they get.
  • yeah really, I dont see how thats an invalid excuse at ALL.
  • Hell it's my excuse why I don't PC game but they just won't buy it.
  • Thats the #1 reason PC gaming sucks donkey dick

  • That was Kick Ass. I'm already getting Siked for this game!
  •   Day 1.  Absolutely amazing!!!
  • I need to pick my jaw up off the floor now. Wow...
  • As long as you dont cheap out when you first get a PC, youll be able to run for just as long (maybe longer) than a 360 reigns...

You have to remember, a 360 is just a PC without a conventional OS

My excuse as well. Not to mention, I LOVE the 360 controller, so I see no reason to go to WASD and a mouse.  And on that note, I think I will have to delve into the BattleField series with this game, since it looks SO awesome.

My graphics card is the series from 2008. I can play every single game I buy. Thinking you need to upgrade your computer every year is just ignorant.  Im sorry.

The 8800GT (which is from 2007) is still widely used. It is a truly amazing card.

  • its not ignorant at all. if you don't "game" on your pc you wont need to upgrade it for like 10 years. if you do, you'll frequently need a better video card, more memory, or a better CPU. every year is hyperbole, sure, but you'll have to do it more often than new consoles come out. You're looking at at least doubling your hardware investment when you opt for PC gaming over console gaming, over the course of, say, 5 years, if you want to always be able to play the latest titles. It has gotten better lately (thank you casual gaming and WoW) but not all THAT much better compared to buying a console (which is, lets say $700 at launch) and enjoying the latest games playable on it for 6-8 years, nevermind the fact that you just never have to think about hardware at all, the whole process is simplified and standardized which is what people like too.

Try playing black ops on a PC you bought for $400 6 years ago. Now do it on a xbox 360, which you bought for $400 6 years ago.

  • I'm with @Rajio on this one. I've dropped a total of $630 on two consoles since Nov 2005. An original launch console for $500 and an Arcade last year for $130.  If I bought a computer, I'd surely have spent a TON more.
  • But it would also be a computer? :P
  • lol. Im not saying console gaming is better, hawks, but its certainly cheaper and easier for most people in the long run - even if games are $10 more expensive.
  • I know you arent saying its better haha, what my beef is people have the mentality that in order to PC game you MUST upgrade your hardware every 6months - a year.  That is an outrageous claim...   Its a bit more expensive to get started. A Gaming PC can cost you about 800-1000 bucks, but it doesnt JUST game, it can be used as a regular PC as well... so the Console is 400 bucks lets say, and your pc is 500... thats 900?  Which is no cheaper than a gaming PC.   It all evens out is another point i guess im making.
  • everyones always like "well good luck building a pc for the price of an xbox with xbox graphics"
funny thing is you can if you know good deals and its also a PC so it can do computer stuff too lol
  • I'm just patiently waiting for laptops to drop in price so I can have 8GB RAM, 7200 RPM HD, 17" screen and whatever mid range processor is good at the time for under a thousand bucks.

I wish there was a 'Build Your Own Laptop!' place... and not owned by Dell.

    I don't trust them.

I'm in love with my Toshiba though.. I've owned this laptop for about 4 years.. it's still very competent.. (Not with games so much...) and it's never let me down. I've also never turned it off.
  • Id say try out a Vaio. But those are even more expensive :P

The CIY Laptops by Dell seem overpriced, which makes Alienware and overpriced alternative to an overpriced CIY.  Both owned by Dell... hmmm.

edit* Wow that was a lot more confusing than i intended
  • I've got a good friend who works for Dell Customer Support Escalations in the US, so if I ever do get a Dell and I have issues, I can always pester him. ;) I also have another one who works the phones (sales or support, can't remember) here in the GTA, so another string to pull. ;)

From what my buddy here says, if you're a loyal Dell customer, you can start requesting some RIDICULOUS deals over the phone when you're talking with Sales. They're all in it for the commissions, so they just want the product out the door and their money.
  • 12 minute gameplay trailer...

  • I NEVER buy games on day one, but I will with this. It looks spectacular.
  • Holy crap the internet is exploding RE BF3 this morning.

    So everyone was going nuts over it at E3 and before. It has a flawless victory on PR up until this point. And now the hammer drops;

  • It looks like they came to their senses and made the retailer-exclusive content into a timed-exclusive only. eventually you'll all be able to access all content;

  • lolz People just need to complain about everything.
