360 Slim Random Tray Opening

Have any of you had any issues with your 360 slim's disc tray randomly opening? I'm at my girlfriends and hers has been doing it all night when it's off, it didn't do it while we were playing it though. I noticed it do it once while I was here last weekend too. The eject button contact area is clean and clear of anything that could cause it to happen. Gonna be calling ye olde 1-800-etc-etc tomorrow, I'm just curious if anybody else has encountered this.

Dragon's Lair For XBLA

Surprise, surprise. The classic laserdisk game Dragon's Lair was announced for XBLA this week. Although the announcement almost went unnoticed, this is still a major news that should be worth mentioning.

Indeed, Microsoft Studio and Digital Leisure come together to bring us the first ever laserdisk arcade classic game to Xbox 360 in the form of an arcade title. Although Dragon's Lair was ported on more than sixty consoles already, it'll be a great addition to XBLA's ever growing library. And, even though this game first appeared in 1983, it still holds some of the best animated sequences a game could bring forth even to this day.

And, as if it wasn't enough to just bring Dragon's Lair to XBLA, Microsoft Studio also announced that the game will be playable with both the old fashioned way with a controller and with the use of Kinect for a whole new gaming experience. It is unsure as to how the Kinect controls will work on this title but having the option to use the motion sensor will "enchant" many "Don Bluth" adventurers out there.

Unfortunately, no release date or price tag were announced this time around, but we can expect to learn a lot more about Dragon's Lair for XBLA in the next few weeks as i suspect this will be one of the titles expected for the "Summer of Arcade" event MSFT presents to us during the high sunny season.

Since the music thread is so popular, I figured I'd make a concerts thread to post about past and upcoming concerts, experiences at concerts, etc. etc.

Do you like concerts? Have you been to one before? Who have you seen live? Who would you like to see?

I'm a concert junkie. My dad was when he was younger too, so he's been taking me to concerts for the longest time. I absolutely love them, and I go to so many. I haven't been to one in a while and would like to get back into that groove.

My first concert was in June or July, 2005 when I was 11 years old. It was Green Day. I had so much fun. Billy Joe Armstrong was working the crowd with his "warmup exercises" and everybody repeated him. I was always really quiet but when I got to that concert I yelled and sang so much that I basically lost my voice.

Since then, I have been to numerous concerts. I remember that Good Charlotte was my second concert (30 Seconds To Mars opened for them, along with someone else I believe), then Simple Plan. After that, I couldn't tell you the order lol.

I wish I would have kept all my ticket stubs (would be quite the collection!) but unfortunately I've misplaced the majority of them. However, I do own at least one shirt from every single concert I've ever been to (that was paid for, that is).

I'll name off other concerts I've been to at a later time, but right now I'm wondering, have you ever been?

The next chapter in the Forza franchise has been revealed.

It is being developed by Playground Games in collaboration with Turn 10 Studios (Forza 1-4)
also (and this is where it gets good) they have a team of over 100 staff from the best racing
game developers such as Bizarre Creations (PGR Muthafucka yee boyyy), Black Rock Studios, Criterion Games,
Rockstar North (WTF), Ubisoft Reflections, among others. (TOCA, GRID, DiRT, etc.)

It looks like an open-world driving game with plenty of Kudos to be earned. ;)

Mortal Kombat

Has anybody check out the new Mortal Kombat yet? A buddy of mine gifted me a copy but what I've experienced in it so far, I gladly would have payed the $60 or whatever for the game if I could have afforded it. I've enjoyed some of the past MK games (UMK3, MK4), but I've never been too big a fan of the series (hated the first 2). This is the first time I've ever been excited for a MK ttile and I have yet to be disappointed. The return to 2D gameplay is very welcome, I could never quite get into the 3D ones, it always felt like they could have been better off without the extra dimension. The actual fighting gameplay itself is smoother than ever and feels great, all characters play differently from one another, all of the basic punch and kick combos are unique to each character. All of my favorite characters of the series are here, among some new twists to the cast. The story mode is rather lengthy, but really well done, fights and cutscenes merge seamlessly, making it feel like a martial arts movie that becomes a video game once the fights start. The challenge tower is quite fun and with 300 challenges, it will take some time to complete. So far my favorite challenge was one where you play as Scorpion and you are tasked with defending your right to hate teddies against Mileena who has made one for you. I haven't dipped into the multiplayer side of things yet, but everything I've experienced in the single player side of things so far has been superb. As a long time Street Fighter fan, I'm surprised to find myself saying I've had way more fun with this than any Street Fighter game I've played, and this is definitely one of the best fighting games I've ever played. If you've had any interest in this, I definitely suggest checking it out.

Cleaning Video Game Systems And Accessories - Tips

I wanted to post here, in order to see what you guys use to clean your video game equipment. Controllers, handhelds and peripherals, although mainly the first two.

I try to dust my systems at least once per month, and use eyeglass wipes to wipe down my controllers. However, since I wash my hands a few times before playing and use a lot of soap in general, my main 360 controller gets sticky from the Dove soap mixing with hand sweat while gaming. Wanting to get rid of that (Lysol wipe?) and remove the crud that's stuck inside of the cracks. I tried a toothpick, but it was too big.

Also wondering what to use to:

- Dust 3DS (screens too) completely without leaving marks or scratches. I have some smudges on the screen, as I've used my finger the past few times, but I hate doing that. Plus, one game required a finger scanner, which prompted me to put an index finger on the bottom screen a few times.

- Wipe smudges off of Vita without harming it or using anything with even a hint of liquid inside of it.
