Mass Effect 3 Launched into Space
  • Pretty darn funny imo
  • definitely an interesting promotion, but even if it was in my city i wouldn't go for it
  • Very interesting, but seems kind of stupid (considering how badly damaged the games may become.)
  • Pretty wicked....kind of doing the whole lego man idea.

i guess we'll find out if they get damaged.
  • Well, as long as they're sealed and have parachutes, which I assume they would.. I highly doubt any damage will occur.

I like the idea.. but doubt any will drift on up to my neck of the woods. New York being the closest.

Usually these things go a couple hundred klicks max outside of where they're released.

Anyone ever do that 'tie a laminated letter to a helium baloon' deal in Elementary school? We did.. it was cool.
  • Hopefully one of them gets blown over to Halifax! I will be keeping track of them just out of pure curiosity.
  • I like what epic did with GoW 3. walked around and posted facebook updates about where they were and asked a question. If you could find them and answer they gave you some cool gears stuff from signed epic editions to other swag.

  • thats really cool
  • How far do these things go up in space? I dont know if id want to touch something that went up too far into space although im assuming they dont go too high. Maybe Nasa is just pulling our leg, but they always recommend not to touch anything that falls from the sky.
  • I'm getting pretty anxious to play this game. Though I'm worried its going to dissappoint becasue of certain issues like not being able to holster your weapon because of "lack of memory"

Which I'm sure is because EA forced them to take up space to include multiplayer modes....

Also the demo was in direct X 9 while ME 2 was in direct X 10 on PC so im hoping that ME 3 is DX 10 or 11 for the retail release.......
  • I'm more certain that MP exists because someone at Bioware thought "Hey, I wanna play as a Krogan, now how do I work that to make sense?"
  • And the MP is a lot of fun and doesn't feel tacked on like Dead Space 2
  • I doubt it. EA beleives every game needs multiplayer , and every game should have loads of DLC to nickel and dime the customers

^Sadly, this. Thankfully, Dead Space 2's single player was, in my opinion, exceptional regardless of the Multi. I'm hoping Mass Effect 3 will be the same. The demo is promising.
  • If you want to see what's it like when a person does it.. check this out at the 6min15 mark.. or if you want to watch the entire thing, I doubt you'll be bored:

  • @doos
Fucking nuts!!! I saw a show about him a long time ago. I could be mistaken, but isnt he known as the "human crash test dummy" or is that someone else??
  • @Doos

That's incredible. People doing stuff like that always amazes me because I'd have a heart attack five minutes into the flight. Not good with heights.
  • that video was amazing. I never knew about that guy jumping from space. Fucking incredible!
  • @Ninja

No idea.. all I know is he's known as 'this dude who jumps from fucking space, yo!!' to me!

I just love how there's no indication that he's falling, at all, until he hits the clouds.

Can you imagine what that must be like? No point of reference, no wind, no sound, just this feeling that you're floating.. meanwhile you're plummeting at near 1000 km/hr towards the ground.

That's gotta get you laid somewhere down the line.

Howdy, Stranger!
