PlayStation Vita
  • So who is getting one?
  • Me. But that's honestly not very surprising is it. Should be picking it up this Wednesday. Already got all my games sitting on my shelf.
  • Will most certainly get one at some point since i'm waiting on a better gaming library selection.
  • I'll get one later in the year once a couple friends get it, then decide once I've been able to use it and whatnot. So far, the price for the memory cards is making it a no-go.

Most Best Buys and EBs have them set up on display for people to try out. Its kinda crazy once you see the screen in person. OLED is sexy.
  • Here is a very informative video,

  • I have a 3DS. I don't need or want a vita.

I kinda want one. But I'm happy with my 3DS
  • I really tried to like the Vita, but after trying a display model I decided I will never be purchasing one. I found the contrast in the games I tried to be extremely dark, my hands cramped fast, I don't like any of the announced titles and the prices are way to high for a handheld, especially the memory cards.
  • If I used my PSP more I'd give it some consideration. Maybe once the eventual price drop happens I'll think about it.
  • I'm not into handheld gaming at all. Never have been and never will be.
  • Getting it tomorrow. Was able to trade for it.
  • maybe in the future but at this point no i have my 3ds and i dont pick it up often to get another handheld console. but knowing me at the end of the season with all of that cash sitting around i'll get myself a treat.
  • i haven't owned a handheld console since the Game Gear, so there's your answer right there

it does look pretty cool though

    Same here.
  • I traded for it, but decided to go with only the wi-fi model, as opposed to the First Edition Bundle. Little Deviants and a small memory card weren't enough to entice me to pay an extra $50, although the case is pretty nice.

Looking forward to picking it up on the twenty-second. Hoping to borrow a review unit from Sony before that, though, so that we can get early content up. Apparently the list is pretty large, though.
  • I already have a DS that I really don't play, so no.
  • I'll keep an eye on one but I'm not picking one up yet or at all. I want to see if Sony actually does anything with it's gaming library or let's it stagnate like the PSP.
  • They have a rating system for the vita. 9 different kinds of likes for games. 0 dislike options. welcome to vitabook. Is a scaling star system so bad?

  • I don't know. It depends how it works, how the rating system scales. having only likes, but specific categorized ones can work well if done right and it takes in to consideration how many people played the game but didn't like things too. if it works as a percentage. having dislikes makes it too easy for people to troll and spite-weight the charts. it could actually work quite well that way if they do it wisely. im skeptical that they will but we'll see.

Yes it is...look at sites like Metacritic.
