Guild Wars 2
  • Hey, so is anyone actually going to be picking this game up on release? im debating whether or not to get it.
  • I might now that I have a PC to play it. I have to look up some videos though.

I was a big fan of GW but I have heard tons of bad things about GW2
  • Hated the beta...and with Blizzard announcing Mists of Pandaria expansion this September, only a few short weeks after its release, definitely no. As much as people like to complain about the pandas, they will all come back for the expansion, taking away the user base from most current MMOs (including GW2).

Also, the beta sucked balls. Its as traditional as you can get when it comes to fantasy MMOs...and if I'm going to play any traditional styled fantasy MMO, its going to be WoW because of the install base, ludicrous amounts of content and 7-8 years worth of patches.

  • So then don't bother with it? Yeah I'm still wondering about the new wow expansion... I might get it...depends if I can beat cataclysm before then.

I still don't get it. I know that a bunch of people are getting their knickers in a twist because of the Pandas but I don't know why.
The only reasonable complaint is that there are too many fucking Pandas during the starting area, and you showed us that.
    I still have panda nightmares.

The thing about WoW is that its considered to be the biggest subscription based MMO out there and has held that title since its launch more than 7 years ago...everyone compares every new MMO to it even if its nothing alike.

And with anything popular in this world (see Justin Bieber) there will always be those people who will do everything in their power to hate on it. The sad thing is, most of the time, those who hate loudest tend to be the biggest supporters XD

Also, people believe Panda's will destroy the lore.

The thing that has me most excited is Blizzard's main focus this next expansion is re-kindling the war between Horde and Alliance.

  • I know why the comparison is made, the two are so close in similarities you can mistake it for a cloning experiment gone awry. My comment was about the hatred to them Pandas.

  • I'm pretty sure that the endless amount of naked dancing Night Elves in Goldshire is more destructive to the lore than Pandas.

Nah. Dancing Night Elves are totally a part of lore, especially in Goldshire. That shit is dance central hub for the alliance. I also hang out there for duels.
  • meh I loved the first one no tie for mmos atm
  • Not sure, but I'll think about it. Not into MMO's as it costs subscription fees.
  • @wikkiwild1 Guild Wars 2 has no subscription fee. Buy the game and the rest is free (except maybe a micro-trans shop).
  • You should give it a try Wikki...the first one was good...no fee other than the cost at retail for the boxed copy...and it had 3 expansions, and quite a few content patches
  • Cannot wait to be a Necro! Or Mesmer... Or Ele again!!

Howdy, Stranger!
